Encouraging Thoughts from a Biblical Persepective

I Hate You and the Lies You Tell

Ugly, stupid, good for nothing, low life, uneducated, worthless, lazy…
These are just a few of the malicious things someone has said about us, or even worse, words we have allowed ourselves to believe about  our character.

Too many have spent their entire lives struggling with negative thinking. They have become ineffective for the Kingdom of God because they fail to realize who they are and to Whom they belong.

Why do we let our negative thoughts guide us? Simple. The devil is a liar.

The Bible says about the devil in John 8:44– “…He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies.”

The devil doesn’t care about us. He’s right there to laugh at us when we fall and curse at us when we make a mistake. He tells us how bad we are and how God couldn’t possibly love a wretched soul like us. To that I shout, “Liar!”
Like Jesus said, “Get thee behind me, Satan.” Why are we listening to a fool like him? We don’t need to spend one more day feeling defeated; Christ claimed the victory on our behalf! The devil is under our feet. We need to know who we are in Christ. Go to the Word of God and discover the Truth of how much God loves you! Here are just some verses of encouragement today:

Psalm 139:13,14-“For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”

Jeremiah 29:12- “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. ”

Genesis 1:21- “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.”

John 3:16- “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.”

Despite the fact that you were a sinner, Christ died for you anyway. He  loves you very much and He wants you to know that you are beautiful and lovely, perfect in every way.
